It’s been too long since I’ve shared a sweet jam with you all! So obviously I’ll take care of that right here, right now. My main man Mayer Hawthorne has done it again! His new album Man About Town comes out April 8th and I simply cannot wait for it. His 2nd single for the album is Love Like That and I’ve had it on repeat! Please enjoy
i will say that the video makes more sense when you watch Part 1 (Cosmic Love) first. But the jam is still good on it’s own.

A coworker of mine happens to have a very eclectic ear for music which he brings to work with him regularly. Sometimes I can’t do anything but scratch my head at the albums he chooses for us all to listen to. Other times I can’t seem to get enough of whatever he’s got playing. Most recently he’s introduced me to Mayer Hawthorne. The first time I heard him I remember asking “Is this Pharrell?” His voice is silky smooth and you can hear the influences of artists like Smokey Robinson and Curtis Mayfield in his music. So obviously, I’m loving it.
This song is from his new EP, Where Does This Door Go. The album has a more modern feel from his older music so I figured I share some of that too!
All his videos are pretty unique as well, which I can appreciate.

Move Me Music
I don’t know what it is about this song but it always moves me. The lyrics aren’t necessarily happy but the music itself it really what gets me. There’s something about an orchestra that gives me goosebumps. Plus this song was used for the iconic ending to Cruel Intentions (if you haven’t seen it, WATCH IT!). Enjoy xoxo

I am a HUGE fan of music and the power it has to change a persons mood. Whenever I am down and need a pick-me-up I have a selection of songs that will immediately put me in a better mood and change my day. Below is one such song. I have been a fan of Rusted Root for a long time now but somehow this song never effected me like it did this past summer. While out adventuring with Green Goodness one night this song came on and spontaneous dancing commenced(as it usually does with she and I). We were unstoppable. If the song had never ended I’m sure we would have danced forever.
If you’re having a blue Friday(which I’m not sure is possible), I hope you can enjoy this song as much as I do. Let it move you however it chooses.
